Parking Limitations and Road Closures

**Category: Parking Restrictions Notice** Prior to the Nagar Kirtan Parade, please pay attention to community signs displaying "No Parking" symbols along the parade route, major boulevards, and in designated no-parking zones in northeast Calgary. These signs will be displayed at least 12 hours before the event.

As we celebrate the Vaisakhi Nagar Kirtan, we encourage all participants to be considerate neighbors by parking safely and legally. This will help ensure smooth traffic flow and adherence to community guidelines, significantly enhancing everyone's experience of safely navigating and enjoying Nagar Kirtan in Calgary.
Parking Bans: On Saturday, May 10, there will be parking bans from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the parade route areas to maintain safety and ensure the parade runs smoothly. These parking bans will be indicated by 3-foot-high square "No Parking" signs placed along the parade route and designated no-parking zones. Signs will be installed and confirmed at least 12 hours in advance of the Vaisakhi Nagar Kirtan Parade.

Calgary Parking enforcement vehicles will be monitoring neighborhoods in Northeast Calgary on this day. Temporary Parking Restrictions:
- Martindale Boulevard N.E. between Martinbrook Road and
Falconridge Boulevard N.E.
- 54 Avenue between Castleridge Boulevard and
64 Avenue N.E.
To avoid receiving a ticket or having your vehicle towed, please do NOT park:

- On McKnight Blvd/Metis Tr N.E. - On private property (such as Superstore, Shaw, Day Ross, etc.)
- Within 5 meters of a Stop or Yield sign - Within 1.5 meters of any alley entrance or driveway
- In alleys that obstruct access

Fines: If your vehicle is towed, it will be taken to the Municipal Impound Lot, and you will need to pay towing and storage fees to retrieve it.
You can pay any parking ticket you receive at a later date.
Fine Payment Schedule:
- Amount after 30 Days: $75
- If Paid Between 10 and 30 Days: $50
- If Paid Within 10 Days: $40
