Recently, in the Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State, specifically in the village of Kwanta Yashi, an attack was executed by suspected armed bandits on motorcycles.

The assailants kidnapped three males and two females. Reports indicate that this assault was conducted by followers of Dogo Gide, who has recently moved to Zamfara State with his family, including his mother. Despite his relocation from Kwaki, Shiroro Local Government Area, remnants of his followers continue to exert control over the regions of Kwaki, Kurebe, and Kushaka, where they impose taxes on gold miners. Investigations have shown that gold mining in these areas is thriving, attracting the attention of the bandits. They patrol the mining sites during the day, overseeing activities, and by day's end, they demand substantial sums of money for 'fuel.' Additionally, they have levied a fee of 2 million naira on each mining site, payable biweekly. Those who refuse to meet these demands are reportedly barred from mining gold in the region, leading many communities to acquiesce to the bandits' control for their survival. Refrain from associating Allah with your criminal activities, and do not implicate Mohammed, peace be upon him, in your wrongdoings. Allah is not synonymous with terrorism, nor is Mohammed a prophet of such acts.
