A nine-member medical team, led by Dr. Bello Jamoh, has been established by Governor Uba Sani to support Kaduna State pilgrims during the 2025 Hajj.

The team is tasked with conducting thorough pre-departure health screenings at the Mando Hajj Transit Camp in Kaduna, as well as providing on-site medical assistance in Saudi Arabia in partnership with the National Medical Team established by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON). Salihu S. Abubakar, Executive Chairman of the Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, announced this formation following the first meeting between the medical team and the agency's management on Monday. He emphasized that the team's responsibilities include ongoing monitoring of the pilgrims' health throughout their pilgrimage.

"The health and safety of our pilgrims is our top priority. We carefully chose this team based on their expertise, and we have confidence in their capacity to provide outstanding medical care during Hajj," he stated. Mr. Abubakar also assured that all intending pilgrims would undergo rigorous medical assessments, particularly to identify any pregnancies among female pilgrims. "We maintain a strict policy against allowing pregnant pilgrims to undertake Hajj," he cautioned, highlighting the importance of the team's role in ensuring compliance with Saudi Arabia's Hajj regulations. He urged the medical team to approach their responsibilities with professionalism and dedication to guarantee that all pilgrims have a smooth and spiritually enriching experience.
