Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director Kash Patel participated in the annual White House Easter Egg Roll on April 21 on the South Lawn of the White House in Washington, D.C.

U.S. authorities apprehended a Wisconsin judge last Friday amid an apparent conflict between the Trump administration and local officials regarding immigration enforcement. In a social media update that was later removed, FBI Director Kash Patel indicated that the judge was charged with obstruction related to a recent immigration enforcement operation. According to a spokesperson for the U.S. Marshals Service, Hannah Dugan, a circuit judge in Milwaukee County, was taken into custody at her courthouse on Friday morning. The FBI was not immediately available for comment regarding the arrest. This incident follows calls from a senior Justice Department official for federal prosecutors to take action against local officials who obstruct the administration's immigration policies. The memorandum noted that such officials could be charged with defrauding the government or harboring undocumented immigrants. In his deleted post, Patel mentioned that immigration authorities were attempting to detain Eduardo Flores Ruiz, whom he referred to as an "illegal alien." He added, "Thankfully, our agents chased down the perp on foot, and he's been in custody since." Wisconsin court records indicate that an individual by that name appeared in Judge Dugan's courtroom for a pretrial conference on April 18, facing misdemeanor battery charges linked to domestic abuse.
