During our meeting in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, President Xi Jinping and I oversaw the signing of 20 trade agreements and Memorandums of Understanding aimed at fostering various sectors of our economy, in line with our Belt and Road Initiative collaboration. Our Chinese partners are poised to invest substantial resources to enhance our road infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture, the blue economy, green energy, and ICT sectors, among others. These investments are set to boost economic growth and improve the quality of life for our citizens by granting them better access to essential services, generating job opportunities, and increasing our global market competitiveness. These commitments further illustrate China's strong support for our efforts to expand our economy, create jobs for our youth, and tap into the vast resources of our nation.

We are optimistic that these agreements will yield positive results, grounded in the solid foundation of trust, mutual respect, and collaboration shared between our countries. In the realm of diplomacy, President Xi and I agreed to continue our work towards fostering unity and cooperation within the Global South, amplifying its voice in international discussions.
We reaffirmed our dedication to supporting multilateralism, encouraging dialogue, and advancing understanding among nations. We believe that establishing a more inclusive and equitable global governance framework is vital to address the complex challenges facing the world today. We are also committed to advocating for the strengthening and reform of UN systems, particularly the Security Council, to make it more representative and responsive to current realities. This is essential for ensuring that the perspectives of developing countries are acknowledged and their interests considered in global decision-making processes. In conclusion, I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to President Xi Jinping and the Government of China for their unwavering support of Kenya's development agenda. I am confident that our strategic partnership will continue to thrive, fostering growth, prosperity, and peace for both our nations and the wider world.
