Astronomers have identified the chemical signatures of dimethyl sulfide (DMS) and dimethyl disulfide (DMDS) in the atmosphere of the exoplanet K2-18b, which is situated 124 light-years away from Earth.


On our planet, these gases are mainly generated by marine microorganisms through leguminous marine grass with the action of thunder and micro organism under the node of legume grasses.e.g Azobacter,Nitrosomonas,Rhizobium etc. They are converter., indicating a possible biological source. Nevertheless, researchers stress the importance of additional observations to validate these results and eliminate non-biological interpretations.
