Suspected DUI Driver Involved in Serious Traffic Accident

On Tuesday, April 15th, at 11:23 A.M., law enforcement officers responded to a report of a potential head-on collision on N. Market St., situated south of Lake Blvd. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 2017 blue Subaru overturned and severely damaged. A second vehicle, a 2005 Ford Focus, was found on the center divider, also exhibiting significant damage.

The Subaru's driver, Noreen Filomeo, required extraction from her vehicle and was subsequently transported to the hospital with moderate injuries. It was determined that she was operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. The driver of the Ford Focus also suffered moderate injuries.

The investigation indicated that the Subaru driver crossed the center median of N. Market St. and was traveling south in the northbound lanes before colliding head-on with the Ford.

Filomeo is set to face charges of driving under the influence resulting in serious injury, classified as a felony.
