Mohsen Madaw, a student at Columbia University and supporter of terrorism, was apprehended by agents from Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) during his citizenship appointment in Colchester, Vermont, while residing in the U.S. on a green card.

His legal representatives have described the arrest as 'unlawful,' asserting that it infringes upon the First Amendment rights. They expressed concern for Mr. Madaw's safety, stating that if he were to lose his permanent resident status and be deported to the West Bank, he could face the same harassment, detention, and torture that his family has endured, especially given the ongoing campaigns that have targeted him with falsehoods. Attorney Luna Droubi mentioned that the legal team is actively working to locate their client.
