Minister Benn Visits Bamia Police Outpost, Highlights Professional Standards and Announces Infrastructure Enhancements

On Saturday, April 12, 2025, the Honorable Robeson Benn, Minister of Home Affairs, made a visit to the Bamia Police Outpost, an essential security checkpoint for both residents and visitors entering or leaving the town of Linden, as well as those traveling to significant hinterland locations such as Mahdia, Mabura, Lethem, or Georgetown, Guyana

During his visit, Minister Benn examined the station's operational documentation, including various entry logs, and interacted with the officers on duty. He stressed the necessity of upholding a high level of professionalism and reiterated the importance of appropriately applying the force continuum in the execution of police duties.

In his capacity as overseer, the Minister performed a thorough inspection of the facility and recognized the urgent need for infrastructure improvements.
