Doug Ford plans to cut off U.S. electricity exports starting tomorrow

Premier Doug Ford, who was recently re-elected, intensified his threat on Monday to cut off electricity flowing from Ontario to a number of U.S. states.

He made these remarks on the eve of U.S. President Donald Trump's 25% tariffs on Canadian goods and 10% on energy. Ford also stated that his government is ready to implement a sUrcharge on every megawatt that states purchase from Ontario and "rip up" a $100-million deal with Elon Musk's Starlink internet company.
