  President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has  assassinated!|Nation  condemns  former US  President  Donald Trump.
 
  According to Tinubu, the incident was  unpleasant  and  he  stressed  that  "violence  has no place in  democracy."
 
  Recall  that  Trump, the Republican candidate for the November election, was  removed  from  the  stage when  shots  were  fired  at a campaign rally  in  Pennsylvania  on  Saturday,  a shocking  incident  that will fuel  anxiety  in the  race  -  leading  up  to the 2024  elections.
 
  Trump had  a  narrow  escape,  saying:  "I  was  shot  with a  bullet  that  went  through  my right  ear."
 
  The Federal Bureau of Investigation  revealed  that 20-year-old Thomas Crooks  fired  several  shots,  killing  one  and  injuring  two  others.
 
  In  a statement on Sunday, Tinubu  said:  "The  attack  on former President Donald Trump is  in  poor  taste  and goes beyond  democratic  norms."  Violence  has no place in democracy.
 
  "I  extend my  deepest  condolences  to the former President and wish him relief.| I also  extend  my  condolences  to  the family of the  deceased  and those  injured  and wish them  a  speedy  recovery.
  The President noted that Nigeria stands in solidarity with the United States of America at this time.
