Multiple Calgary Police Service units conducted a search  of Forest Lawn Tuesday morning after a man was bitten by a  dog.
The incident  happened around 6:30 a.m. in the 3800 block of 17th Avenue  S.E.
Not a valid attachment ID.
The man described the dog as an off-leash pit  bull, but  Sergeant John Guigon said police  had received conflicting reports  about whether the dog was  on a leash or  not and  could not confirm the  breed. The man was treated by  emergency medical services at the scene and  taken to  the hospital with serious but  non-life-threatening injuries , may be he is suffering for rabies symptoms
CPS had four units in the area searching for the dog before  turning the search  over to the  city's bylaws department because the incident was deemed non-criminal.
