🚨'WALKING PNEUMONIA' CASES SURGE AHEAD OF COLD AND FLU SEASON

A respiratory illness caused by mycoplasma pneumoniae, often leading to "walking pneumonia," is surging in the U.S., with cases 10 times higher than last year.

Symptoms include a lingering cough, fever, and sore throat. Unlike severe pneumonia, patients often feel well enough to continue daily activities.

The CDC warns that cases, which peak every 3-7 years, are rising sharply, especially among children, ahead of flu season.

Experts recommend monitoring persistent respiratory symptoms and consulting a healthcare provider if needed.
