One woman dead and two others injured,

Superintendent Tony Josephs,  of the North West Command Unit, said: "This is a truly shocking incident  which has left  one woman dead and two others injured, and I understand the concern this will cause  in the local community and across  the country.

"I would like to  assure people that a team of experienced detectives are already working  rapidly to piece together the events of last night and identify  who is responsible for this heinous act of violence," he said.
"If you were in or around Gifford Close at the time of the shooting, or have any information  on who was responsible, please contact us. A family has been devastated and we  must work together to provide answers."
