Two crucial fiber-optic cables were allegedly severed when the 225-meter Chinese cargo ship Yi Peng 3 pulled her anchor for more than 100 miles in the Baltic Sea. NATO launched an investigation to determine whether this was sabotage or a massive error because these cables transmit trillions of dollars' worth of financial transactions and internet traffic.
