A COLORADO PASSWORD BREACH HAS BEEN EXPOSED

Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold disclosed that voting equipment passwords were available to the public online for four months.

The Colorado Republican Party was the first to reveal the breach, which affected 34 of 64 counties.

Griswold justified the five-day wait by stating that it was necessary to determine the scope of the breach.

Colorado's Department of State pledged stronger cybersecurity training and more stringent password management after the incident.
