Restore the Greatness of Babies! Elon Musk in Lancaster's Town Hall.

Enjoy this post, which concludes with my thoughts on the matter.

Elon: "The birth rate should be seen as a serious, fundamental crisis. The fact that it is so low is quite frightening. Since I was born, the birth rate in America has been (approximately) lower than the replacement rate. America has fallen below the replacement rate ever since, roughly, 1971. It appears that the birthrate falls below replacement in almost every nation once they achieve a certain degree of affluence. And I'm investigating whether this has ever occurred in history. And it really has!

Elon: All previous civilizations, [it may seem counterintuitive, yet the birth rate decreases as prosperity increases. You would imagine that if you were prosperous, you would have more money and more children.
Well, no. A civilization's birth rate has historically been worse the longer it has been rich. And even in ancient Rome, this was a problem.
In fact, the Roman Laws that were written in 50 B.C. are still in effect today. In 50 B.C., they enacted legislation in an attempt to increase the number of Roman citizens born.
This is a basic civilizational problem that has been faced numerous times. This has been going on for a while. It happened at every stage of civilization.

Elon: In addition to me since I see a lot of people who believe that there are too many people on the planet, I believe that at least partially bringing it to people's attention can help us reverse it. Simply said, that is untrue. The number of people on the planet is insufficient!
New York City is large enough to house every human being on the planet on a single floor! Or would you be successful if you had to drop a ball on someone's head while flying across the nation and you looked down? You wouldn't, either.
The population density is extremely low. There aren't many people on the planet. Only in highly populated urban areas can it appear as though Earth is crowded populated. Furthermore, just around 0.1% of the surface is heavily occupied. In order to prevent people from believing that the Earth is overpopulated when, in reality, it is underpopulated, I at least wish to raise awareness of this. This is accurate.
(A member in the audience yells out Bill Gates' name) HAHA, we're not the best of buddies. Perhaps being right or left is not the true difference. However, is a person an extinctionist or an expansionist? (laughing) HAHA, it's true that Gates has some problems.
It won't be precisely stable with any one civilization. Any given civilization will either be expanding or contracting. Thus, you can sort of categorize each individual's behaviour into: Elon You know, when you explain it that way, it sounds so clear! I am sort of pounding home this argument because I still see many folks who believe that Earth is overpopulated. We have an underpopulation, not an overpopulation.

Regardless of the method—IVF, surrogacy, or something else entirely—I support the idea that we must have children. We just cannot become extinct, but that can assist. Humanity is wonderful, and I believe we should grow. I believe that in order to have a deeper understanding of the nature of the cosmos, we should broaden the scope and scale of consciousness. That's where my philosophy starts.
(An audience member exclaims, "Restore the glory of babies!"

Elon: Certainly, have children great again, yes!
An apartment with one bedroom. California's South Burbank. There are $200 in the bank. Full-time nursing school (my second degree), a part-time job, and school loans to pay off. Additionally, she used to smuggle this person's adorable little baby to class. I am this person. Yes, I, Gail Alfar, have no regrets whatsoever about this.

I would do it again after having five children. Having children is the greatest joy, men and women alike. Anyone who claims to be a nuisance is actually the complete opposite.
The treasures in my life were little rugrats.
They have their own life paths now that they are largely grown up, and may they bless this wild planet!

For you, lovely human on X, dear reader...Some of my friends, who are in different circumstances, are genuinely unable to produce children in their bodies; they are such wonderful blessings.

However, for those who are capable and unsure, know that you are unstoppable, so go ahead and have children.
