Canada, with its abundance of natural resources, had the potential to emerge as a leader in the LNG industry. However, the decision by the Liberal government to impose restrictions on the extraction of Canadian resources has hindered progress, ultimately stifling the country's ability to capitalize on this opportunity.

The delay in Canadian LNG projects can be attributed, in part, to the stringent regulatory environment and the government's emphasis on environmental concerns.
