The Bureau of Land Management and the U.S. Forest Service had solicited assistance from a local Border Patrol station as they concluded work contracts with two companies on the Olympic Peninsula, according to a news release from U.S. Customs and Border Protection. The agency did not provide specific details but indicated that the termination of the contracts followed a criminal investigation conducted by the Bureau of Land Management.
