"Stay tuned to CTV News at 6 tonight as Mark Villani shares exciting updates on the latest major soccer facility project in Calgary. The project, undertaken by Calgary Villains FC, involves the construction of a state-of-the-art indoor soccer dome, set to revolutionize the soccer scene in the city.

The $6-million facility, located at 830 – 59 Ave SE, aims to address the significant shortage of indoor field space for soccer in Calgary. Once complete, it will serve as a year-round training facility for Calgary Villains FC and other sports users, providing a top-notch platform for athletes to hone their skills regardless of the weather.

The dome will feature a full-sized indoor soccer field, complementing the existing Villains Training Centre, which boasts a turf field, weight room, and other amenities. Construction began in April 2025, and the facility is expected to be operational by late summer or fall of the same year.

This project is a game-changer for Calgary's soccer community, supporting Calgary Villains FC programs while also being available for rent to other soccer governing bodies, clubs, and sports user groups in the city.
