Visitors to Canada may no longer apply for work permits—Kawedemu, August 28, 224
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada ("IRCC") declared on August 28, 2024, that it was discontinuing its temporary public policy, which permitted foreign tourists to apply for a work visa from within Canada, with immediate effect. The original expiration date of the policy was February 28, 2025.
