Thank you to the Filipino Canadian National Congress for an inspiring evening.

It was a privilege to deliver the Gala welcome address to such a distinguished gathering of FCNC Board members, Consuls General, and Filipino-Canadian leaders from across Canada.

As my mother always emphasized, language and culture are the threads that connect our stories and foster understanding between communities. I felt that sense of connection throughout the evening, and I appreciate the Filipino community for enriching our city.

I extend my gratitude to the dedicated leadership, partners, and volunteers of FCNC who serve nearly one million Filipino Canadians across the country.

I look forward to seeing everyone at Fiesta Filipino, Calgary's celebration of Filipino culture, from August 29 to September 1 at the new Eau Claire Plaza.
