Caroline Ziadeh, Special Representative of the Secretary-General

This month, Caroline Ziadeh, Special Representative of the Secretary-General and Head of the United Nations Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK), will conclude her six-year tenure.

Throughout her time in the mission, she facilitated dialogue, encouraged youth and women to take initiative, and protected essential but vulnerable spaces.

She emphasized that peacekeeping involves not only having a presence but also pursuing a meaningful purpose.
