"Calgary Takes a Giant Leap Towards Sustainability: 120 Electric Transit Buses to Hit the Streets by 2028

The City of Calgary has announced a significant investment in its public transportation system, with the acquisition of 120 electric transit buses set to commence in 2027. This move, made possible by funding from a previous federal government grant, will see over 100 emission-free buses operating on Calgary's streets within the next three years.

Partnering with long-standing supplier Nova Bus, Calgary Transit will introduce Canadian-manufactured Nova LFSe+ electric buses, replacing older diesel vehicles and enhancing service reliability. By the end of 2028, all 120 buses are expected to be operational, marking a major milestone in the city's commitment to a more sustainable future."
