Details of the Fort Stewart shooting: Lockdowns lifted after five soldiers were shot.


According to a social media update, Fort Stewart, Wright Army Airfield, and Evans Army Airfield have been declared safe. Access through the gates has been restored following the earlier incident at Fort Stewart. The Liberty County School System has also ended its temporary lockdown in response to the shooting. In a press release, the Liberty County officials stated, "Based on the information from local law enforcement, there is no threat to schools."
