We are thrilled to announce our significant long-term sponsorship of the new Fort McMurray 468 First Nation Nikinan Community Centre. To commemorate this special occasion, our leadership proudly presented Fort McMurray 468 First Nation Chief and Council with a bison hide and skull, a symbol of this region and a significant element of Indigenous culture. As Sandy Martin, Suncor's Senior Vice President Regional Execution, so eloquently put it, "This incredible animal symbolizes strength, abundance, and determination. Today, it symbolizes our friendship and, above all, our respect."
