Olukoyede Receives Excellence in Service Award

The Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ola Olukoyede, has been conferred with the prestigious "Excellence in Humanity Service Award" by the African Peace Legend. This esteemed recognition is a testament to his exceptional leadership and unwavering commitment to promoting peace and development in Nigeria and beyond.

At the award presentation ceremony held on July 24, 2025, at the EFCC's corporate headquarters in Abuja, the Director of African Peace Legend, Jesse Seyi Amiri, highlighted the organization's mission to identify and honor individuals who have made significant contributions to peace and development in Africa. He revealed that Olukoyede's name emerged among the top 100 nominees from across the continent, following a rigorous open nomination process that spanned nine months.

Amiri praised Olukoyede's outstanding performance, stating that his efforts have earned Nigeria and Africa recognition and pride. "This award is an encouragement to the Chairman and his team to continue their commendable work. We have not seen or heard of any EFCC Chairman who has achieved what this Chairman has accomplished," he said.

Receiving the award on behalf of Olukoyede, Assistant Commander of the EFCC, ACE II Aisha Mohammed, expressed gratitude to the African Peace Legend team for finding the EFCC boss worthy of the award. She emphasized that the recognition serves as a motivation for the EFCC to continue striving for excellence, stating, "This award indicates that the EFCC is doing something right. We will continue to do our best to make Nigerians proud. Thank you so much."
