To whom it may concern,

On the evening of July 26, 2025, a collaborative effort between the Niagara County Sheriff's Office and the New York State Police resulted in an attempted traffic stop that escalated into a high-speed vehicle pursuit and subsequent investigation. The incident began when a New York State Trooper attempted to pull over a pickup truck in the vicinity of Upper Mountain Road and Thrall Road, within the Town of Cambria. The driver of the vehicle failed to comply and instead led officers on a pursuit.

The chase concluded at approximately 9:30 PM when the pickup truck pulled into the driveway of a random property located in the 2800 block of Lower Mountain Road. The male driver abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot into the adjacent wooded area. Despite the immediate response and coordination of efforts by both the Niagara County Sheriff's K-9 Unit and the Niagara Falls Police Department's UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) Team, the individual managed to evade capture.

During the search, a female passenger was discovered hiding within the pickup truck. She was taken into custody and later identified as having two active warrants. Her arrest has provided valuable information to the ongoing investigation.

While the male suspect remains at large, law enforcement has developed a strong lead regarding his identity. It is believed that he may be involved in additional criminal activities. The Niagara County Sheriff's Office and the New York State Police are actively working together to locate and apprehend the individual.

If you have any information regarding the identity of the male suspect or the events of last night, please contact the Niagara County Sheriff's Office at (716) 438-3321 or the New York State Police at (585) 344-6200. All calls will be kept confidential.
