Gov. Babajide Sanwolu of Lagos State has just administered the oath of office

Governor Babajide Sanwolu of Lagos State has just administered the oath of office to the newly elected chairmen and vice chairmen of the 57 local governments and local council development areas (LCDAs) in the state.

In his address, he emphasized the importance of service in leadership, highlighting the expectations of the people for improved security, infrastructure, healthcare, education, and economic opportunities.

With the recent restoration of local government autonomy, including direct access to funds, these officials are now accountable for delivering on these promises without excuses. The message is clear: the people of Lagos are expecting tangible development at the grassroots level, and the new leaders are being urged to live up to these expectations and bring positive change to every corner of the state.
