"This week has been a momentous one, filled with extraordinary encounters and solemn ceremonies. I was deeply honored to confer the Victoria Cross for Australia upon Private Richard Norden in Rockhampton, and to present Dr. G. Yunupingu with the esteemed Companion of the Order of Australia in Arnhem Land.

Throughout my journey, I had the privilege of engaging with the vibrant communities in both locales, listening to their stories, and sharing in their joy. As Governor-General, it is an immense privilege to represent all Australians on these momentous occasions, and I am humbled by the trust placed in me to perform these solemn duties."
