Miss World Meets Her Excellency the President of Tanzania in Zanzibar

in the tranquil coastal village of Kizimkazi, Zanzibar, Her Excellency Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of the United Republic of Tanzania, graciously welcomed a delegation from Miss World Limited, led by Chair and CEO Julia Morley.

The gathering featured some of the most inspiring young women of this generation, including the reigning Miss World, Opal Suchata Chuangsri @suchaaata from Thailand, and Miss World Africa and First Runner-Up, Hasset Dereje @hasset_dereje from Ethiopia. They were accompanied by ministers from various sectors, including Culture, Sports, Natural Resources, and Tourism. During a private discussion, Opal and Hasset had the chance to share the essence of the Miss World platform— their Beauty With a Purpose projects. Opal discussed her initiatives around breast cancer prevention and awareness in Thailand, while Hasset focused on her mission to empower young women through skills training and professional development in Ethiopia. The President expressed her admiration for the depth, vision, and impact of both projects. Additionally, Opal and Hasset shared their enthusiasm and positive experiences during their nearly week-long exploration of Tanzania. After the discussion, the President posed for official photos with the two titleholders and gifted them local products, including Zanzibar's renowned spices, creating a memorable moment in the historic partnership between Miss World and the people of Tanzania.
