The festival's theme was "Rebuilding Lives through Compassion and Charity," and it served as a platform for contestants to not only compete but also to demonstrate their leadership skills and commitment to their communities. Gavoka reminded the participants that they are more than just contestants, but leaders whose actions can have a profound impact.

The Deputy Prime Minister also highlighted the government's commitment to developing Nadi, with an $8 million dollar budget allocation in the new financial year for various projects to enhance the town's infrastructure and make it a model for the region. He acknowledged the significance of Nadi as the country's tourist capital and the responsibility that comes with it, encouraging the community to preserve and enhance the town's reputation.

This event underscores the importance of cultural festivals in fostering community spirit and promoting local talent while also aligning with broader national goals of development and tourism. The Fijian government's support for such initiatives reflects its focus on inclusive growth and leveraging cultural assets for the benefit of the country's economy and social fabric.
