This Tesla Supercharger station, which originally opened in 2017, had eight V2 (150kW) stalls and served as a crucial charging location for Tesla owners in the area and along the Queen Elizabeth II Highway between Edmonton and Calgary. Tesla has not officially announced the closure, but it is confirmed on CrossIron Mills' website and the shopping center's management stated that it was Tesla's decision. The closure coincides with the end of the lease for the space, and reports indicate that the mall wanted to implement a revenue-sharing agreement, which Tesla does not typically accept for its charging stations.

Despite this, Tesla has expanded its Supercharger network in the region with a new V4 (325kW) station located on Aviation Road NE near the Calgary International Airport, which opened in February 2023. This is the first Supercharger in Alberta to be permanently removed from public use, although another Supercharger in Toronto was taken off public access in 2019 due to high demand and parking issues.
