The new evidence includes an investigation report on the Mambilla HydroElectric Power Project and a warrant of arrest for Jide Sotinri. Agunloye is facing a seven-count charge related to the corrupt awarding of the contract to Sunrise Power & Transmission Company Limited. The court also heard an application from Agunloye's counsel, Adeola Adedikpe, SAN, for the release of his client's passport to allow for overseas medical evaluation. The prosecution requested additional time to review the application before presenting its response, and the court has set July 17, 2025, for the hearing of this matter.
