Fatal Shooting in Teulon Under Investigation

A tragic incident unfolded in Teulon on July 13, 2025, when Stonewall RCMP responded to a report of a shooting at a residence on 7th Avenue SE at 10:40 pm. Upon arrival, officers found a 37-year-old male with life-threatening injuries, who was subsequently transported to hospital but unfortunately pronounced deceased. The investigation has confirmed that his death is being treated as a homicide.

As officers attended the scene, a patrolling officer spotted a vehicle suspected to be involved in the incident and attempted a traffic stop. A pursuit ensued, which ended abruptly when the suspect vehicle drove into a nearby cornfield. The area was promptly contained, and with the assistance of the RCMP Emergency Response Team, the lone occupant of the vehicle was apprehended without incident. A firearm was recovered and seized as evidence.

The 24-year-old male suspect is currently in police custody, and authorities have confirmed that they are not searching for any additional suspects in connection with the incident. The Stonewall RCMP, in collaboration with RCMP Major Crime Services and Forensic Identification Services, continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this tragic event.
