A Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court has set a new date of July 16 for the arraignment of an Abuja-based lawyer, Abu Arome, and three Ghanaian nationals in connection with a case involving forgery and an attempt to fraudulently take over two Nigerian companies. The 26-count charge, which was brought against them by the Inspector General of Police (IGP), includes allegations of fraud, impersonation, and the production of false board resolutions aimed at gaining control of Houses for Africa Nigeria Ltd and Jonahcapital Nigeria Ltd. The accused are expected to appear before the court to formally enter their pleas to the charges on the scheduled date. This development underscores the ongoing efforts by the Nigerian judicial system to address and combat instances of corporate fraud and the misuse of legal documents within the country.
