The high turnout of voters across the length and breadth of Lagos is a clear indication of the importance you attach to the governance of our communities. Your enthusiasm and orderliness at the polling units have once again demonstrated that we are indeed a shining example of what is possible when citizens actively engage in the democratic process.

I must also applaud the youth, the backbone of our society, for their peaceful and matured participation. Your active involvement in this election is a beacon of hope for a brighter future.
