This action would adversely impact both Canadian and American businesses and workers, while also jeopardizing one of the world's most significant trading and security partnerships.

If the federal government retaliates with its own tariffs in response to this escalation, it would impose a burden on Canadian consumers and businesses, ultimately further weakening Canada's economy. In addition to pursuing ongoing trade negotiations with the U.S. Administration to resolve this trade conflict, the federal government must promptly repeal the anti-resource development regulations instituted during the Trudeau era that are hindering our economic growth.
It is crucial to expedite the approval of various pipelines, rail expansions, and transmission lines to the west, east, and north, enabling us to diversify and enhance our global export markets. We must strengthen our economy and assert our independence without any further delay or excuses. It is time to abolish these detrimental laws that continue to undermine our economic stability, increase our reliance on a single customer, and obstruct our nation's prosperity.
