"R&B Singer Chris Brown Pleads Not Guilty to Assault and Weapon Charges

Grammy-winning musician Chris Brown has denied allegations of assault and possessing an offensive weapon in a London nightclub. During a hearing at Southwark Crown Court on Friday, Brown pleaded not guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm to music producer Abraham Diaw and one count of having a bottle as an offensive weapon in a public place.

This follows Brown's previous denial of a more serious charge of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent to Mr. Diaw. The alleged incident took place at the Tape venue in Mayfair on 19 February 2023.

Brown's co-defendant, Omololu Akinlolu, also pleaded not guilty to a charge of assaulting Mr. Diaw occasioning actual bodily harm. The trial is set to take place from 26 October 2026. Brown's legal team will continue to prepare his defense for the upcoming trial."
