The Lethbridge Polytechnic Faculty Association (LPFA) and Lethbridge Polytechnic have reached a tentative agreement on a new collective bargaining contract. The agreement includes a 12% wage increase, which is retroactive to July 2024 and will last until June 2028. This raise comes after their previous contract expired a year ago in June 2024.

The new contract also features several other benefits for faculty members. For those teaching in the trades, the number of instructional hours would be reduced from 649 to 625 hours. Additionally, the health spending account for all LPFA members would see an increase from $750 to $900. Furthermore, the agreement provides new faculty members with extra release time to facilitate the completion of the instructor certification program.

The LPFA published this information in March 2025, and a month later, in April, Alberta Mediation Services confirmed that the tentative agreement had been settled. The Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE), which represents non-administrative workers at the institution, is also in the process of negotiating their new contract, which had expired at the same time as the faculty's. AUPE is currently considering informal mediation to help reach an agreement.
