The Kaduna State Police Command has clarified that the man who breached security protocol during President Bola Tinubu's visit to the state on Thursday, March 16, has psychiatric disorders. The individual, identified as Umar Mohammed, a native of Anguwan Muazu in Kaduna, was allowed into the venue as an All Progressives Congress (APC) supporter after passing through security screening.

According to the Command's Spokesperson, DSP Mansir Hassan, Mohammed's actions were driven by his excitement and curiosity to get a closer look at the President, which led to him jumping into the restricted area. Following his arrest, a thorough search was conducted, and no harmful or incriminating items were found on him.

The Kaduna State Commissioner of Police, Rabiu Muhammad, has urged the public to avoid spreading false information or politicizing the incident. He assured that the matter would be properly investigated to ensure the safety and security of all involved.
