Beckham poised to receive a knighthood from King Charles III

David Beckham is reportedly set to be awarded a knighthood by King Charles III in the upcoming Birthday Honours list.

The former England football captain has previously been recognized with an OBE in 2003 for his services to the sport. This new distinction would be in recognition of not only Beckham's illustrious football career, which included playing for Manchester United, Real Madrid, LA Galaxy, and AC Milan, but also his contributions to British society through his work with organizations such as Unicef and his involvement in the successful bid for the London 2012 Olympics.

The honors list is expected to be published next week, but Beckham's representatives have not yet commented on the speculation.
