THE SECRETARY OF THE SECURITY COUNCIL OF RUSSIA'S VISIT TO THE DPRK

The Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Sergei Shoigu, visited Pyongyang on a short working trip on June 4.

During his visit, Shoigu had a meeting with North Korea's Supreme Leader, Kim Jong Un, where they discussed various matters of cooperation between the two countries and exchanged views on international issues such as the situation in Ukraine and the security situation on the Korean Peninsula. The talks were described as taking place in an atmosphere of friendship and mutual understanding. After the meetings, Shoigu returned to Russia on the same day. This visit underscores the ongoing dialogue and relationship between the two nations in the context of regional and global matters.
