The Calgary police are conducting an investigation into a death that occurred

Calgary police are investigating after a man died following an incident at a downtown high-rise building.

The incident occurred on the morning of June 1, 2025, with police being called to the 1100 block of Third Street SE around 5 am. The man was found in medical distress and transported to the hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The cause of death and the events leading up to it are currently unknown. The homicide unit is on the scene, resulting in road closures between 11 and 12 avenues on 3 Street SE and 12 Avenue SE between Macleod Trail and Olympic Way. These closures were in place for several hours but have since been lifted. Witnesses are encouraged to contact the Victim Assistance Support Team or Calgary Police Service with any information.
