Crime and war / (EFCC) of Nigeria has taken a...
Last post by BOSMANBUSINESSWORLD - Today at 08:15The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) of Nigeria has taken action against a fraudulent crypto investment scheme known as Crypto Bridge Exchange (CBEX).

The commission has invited all victims of this scam to come forward and report their experiences to the EFCC zonal directorates in Ibadan and Lagos. The move follows the prosecution of three individuals, Adefowora Abiodun Olanipekun, Otorudo Avwerosuo, and Ehirim Justice Chukwuebuka, who are accused of being involved in the operation of CBEX.
CBEX had lured investors with promises of unrealistically high returns on their investments, which ultimately led to substantial financial losses for many Nigerians. In an effort to recover the stolen funds and bring justice to those affected, the EFCC is now urging people who invested through CBEX offices or individuals connected to the scheme in Ibadan and Idimu, Lagos, to report to the relevant authorities.
The EFCC Zonal Directorate in Ibadan can be found at 16A, Reverend Oyebode Crescent, Iyaganku, Oyo State, while the Lagos zonal office is located at 7A, Okotie-Eboh Street, Ikoyi. By reporting to these offices, victims can provide essential information that may help in the ongoing investigation and potential recovery of their funds.
This action underscores the growing concern over fraudulent crypto investment schemes that exploit the lack of regulatory oversight and public awareness about the risks associated with cryptocurrencies. As the popularity of digital assets continues to rise, it is crucial for investors to remain vigilant and verify the authenticity of investment opportunities before committing their funds. Additionally, it highlights the importance of regulatory bodies in protecting consumers from financial crimes and ensuring the integrity of the investment market.

Religion / Trust in the Lord: A Beacon of...
Last post by BOSMANBUSINESSWORLD - Today at 06:34Trust in the Lord: A Beacon of Hope
In the midst of uncertainty and turmoil, it is natural to experience fear and doubt. However, as believers, we have a powerful source of comfort and strength – the Lord. Psalm 27 reminds us that our faith should be anchored in God, who is our light, salvation, and stronghold.
Despite the challenges we face, we can remain confident in the Lord's presence. Even when the wicked advance against us, we can trust that they will stumble and fall. We are not alone in our struggles; God is with us, and He will keep us safe in His dwelling. He will hide us in the shelter of His sacred tent and set us high upon a rock, where our heads will be exalted above our enemies.
Our desire should be to dwell in the house of the Lord, to gaze upon His beauty, and to seek Him in His temple. This desire is not driven by a fleeting emotional high, but rather by a deep-seated conviction that God is our helper, our Savior. We can confidently seek His face, knowing that He will not reject or forsake us, even if our earthly parents do.
As we navigate the complexities of life, we should seek the Lord's guidance, asking Him to teach us His way and lead us in a straight path. We should not be swayed by the malicious accusations of our foes, but instead, remain confident that we will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
In conclusion, Psalm 27 encourages us to wait for the Lord, to be strong and take heart, knowing that He is our rock, our salvation, and our stronghold. May we cling to these words of assurance, trusting that God is always with us, guiding us through life's trials and triumphs.

Last post by BOSMANBUSINESSWORLD - Today at 06:12The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has adopted a new allowance payment structure for beneficiaries of its loan scheme, shifting from a 12-month payment arrangement to a per-session disbursement model.

The fund stated that this change aims to improve operational efficiency. In a statement provided to journalists by the Director of Strategic Communications, Mrs. Oseyemi Oluwatuyi, NELFUND explained that variations in academic calendars make it difficult to implement a uniform payment schedule.
Oluwatuyi noted that aligning upkeep disbursements with each institution's academic session will ensure payments are made in a timely and appropriate manner.
The new policy also seeks to avoid duplicating upkeep payments to the same student within the same institution and academic session.

Career / Language and Education: A Glob...
Last post by Bosunstar - Today at 05:46Language and Education: A Global Perspective
As we traverse the globe, exploring diverse cultures and educational systems, one aspect stands out – the language of instruction. In Norway, Denmark, and Finland, Norwegian, Danish, and Finnish are the languages of choice, respectively. Similarly, in China, Japan, and Korea, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean dominate the educational landscape. In Poland and Russia, Polish and Russian are the primary languages used in classrooms.
However, this linguistic diversity takes an interesting turn when we reach the African continent. Unlike their global counterparts, many African nations adopt English as the primary language of instruction. This phenomenon raises an intriguing question: Is English perceived as a measure of intelligence in Africa?
The prevalence of English in African education systems can be attributed to the region's complex colonial past. As a legacy of Western influence, English became the language of power, commerce, and education. Today, it serves as a unifying force, facilitating communication across linguistic and cultural divides.
While English may dominate the educational sphere, it's essential to acknowledge the importance of indigenous languages in preserving cultural heritage and national identity. A balanced approach, where local languages are valued alongside English, can foster a more inclusive and diverse educational environment.
Ultimately, the language of instruction is more than just a pedagogical tool – it's a reflection of a nation's history, culture, and values. As we navigate the complexities of global education, it's crucial to appreciate the rich tapestry of languages and cultures that shape our world. By embracing this diversity, we can create a more empathetic, educated, and enlightened global community.
