Recently, the Governor-General, accompanied by her Aide-de-Camp, Royal Australian Navy Lieutenant Tiffany McCormack, visited the nearest @lifebloodau center to Government House to donate plasma in between investiture ceremonies.

It was uplifting to reconnect with the dedicated team at Lifeblood Garran and to meet several regular donors, including an extraordinary gentleman who was making his 481st donation. As the Patron of @redcrossau, the Governor-General is encouraging eligible Australians to contribute by donating. At present, Lifeblood is experiencing a significant shortage of plasma, and the Governor-General discovered that plasma donations can be made more frequently than blood donations.
