In a significant step to maintain professionalism and ensure compliance with operational protocols, the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has declared that it will start imposing penalties on coaches who neglect to participate in post-match media engagements.

This initiative is part of the league's wider strategy to foster transparency, improve media coverage, and enhance fan interaction through regular content dissemination. Consequently, Match Commissioners at all NPFL match locations have been assigned the duty of ensuring adherence to post-match protocols, which necessitate obligatory interviews with journalists.
This directive was conveyed by the NPFL Chairman, Hon. Gbenga Elegbeleye, via the league's Matchday Situation Room—an interactive real-time platform that collaborates with Match Commissioners to guarantee efficient matchday operations.
