EMPOWERING WOMEN IN FOOD PRESERVATION & CLIMATE-RESILIENT AGRICULTURE IN TIKINA SAWAKASA: 
To enhance disaster risk resilience and climate change mitigation efforts, 23 participants from the villages of Nasinu, Silana, Delakado, Natadradave, Driti, Dranu, Burelevu, Namena, Nananu, Sawakasa #2, and Burerua convened at the Nananu Village Hall for a Food Preservation Training focused on Tikina Sawakasa, Namena, Tailevu.

This training, organized by Live and Learn, aimed to impart traditional food preservation techniques, encourage climate-resilient gardening practices, and identify local crops that can generate income. Representatives from the Department of Women Central Division also facilitated sessions, emphasizing the importance of utilizing and preserving existing resources at home to ensure food security, sustainability for the future, adherence to product specifications, and the value of a savings plan. Empowering women in food preservation and climate-resilient agriculture is a vital step towards creating a more sustainable and resilient community.
