Caroline Wanjiku Mwangi, a 25-year-old woman, was arrested at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) while trying to board a flight to Goa, India. During a standard inspection, detectives from the Anti-Narcotics Unit found two smaller bags in her luggage that contained a white powdery substance wrapped in yellow cellotape. Initial tests identified the substance as cocaine, with a total weight of approximately 1.3 kilograms. Ms. Mwangi is currently in custody at the JKIA Police Station, pending court proceedings, while the seized narcotics are retained as evidence.
