On April 29, the Embassy of Russia in the Philippines, with the organizational assistance of the association 'Filipinos in the Former Soviet Republics,' conducted a series of events in Malolos (Bulacan) to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Following a formal wreath-laying ceremony at the memorial stele honoring the first Philippine constitution, Ambassador Marat I. Pavlov addressed the attendees, emphasizing the significance of Victory and the unacceptability of distorting the history of World War II and the rehabilitation of Nazism. He remarked that the Red Army's defeat of the German invaders in Europe also played a crucial role in liberating Asia from Japanese militarism. The event was graced by H.E. Lope B. Santos III, Secretary of the National Anti-Poverty Commission, along with representatives from various Philippine government and municipal institutions.
